Winters Kids

Just a little update about what in the world we're doing these days…

It’s Genetic

February 26th, 2008 by karli
Like his father and sister before him, Nolan is quickly becoming a thumb-sucker. Sometimes he works SOOOO hard to find it, and it’s so frustrating for him when he can’t. But once he does, you can just see the relief in his eyes. Now, I know there are those who think it’s HORRIBLE for a kid to suck his thumb. However, in our house, we’re big fans. It has been nice for Mylie to be able to soothe herself, and we believe it helped her to sleeping through the night at an early age, and being such a good sleeper for her whole life. And Nolan is following suit! At just 10 weeks old, he is now sleeping for 12 hours at night! Oh, he’s such a good boy and he makes his mamma so happy!

Yipee! I’m all for thumb sucking because I’m all for babies sleeping longer and therefore moms get to sleep longer. Why else did God give little babies thumbs? Although, now that I think about it, my girls sucked their two middle fingers. That’s good too! He’s SO cute and your such a good mommy!

We too have a thumb sucker on our hands. It has been so nice and easy! Andi has never found her thumb, but she has never taken a binki either. We’ll see if she ever finds it. Yay for sleeping!

I think babies sucking their thumbs are soooo cute….and the sleeping is ALWAYS a bonus!! I’ll have to stay tune for your ways of getting him to stop sucking his thumb. That was quite the adventure in my household :)
